Supplied By and On Hire From: what to put on the panel

A supplied-by panel tells the site whose machine they are hiring. It is your name and the contact details you want read. It is not a thorough examination label.

What to include

Your trading name, and a phone number or depot name that is still answered. If you have a logo, send the vector file. If you only have a photo of an old panel, send that through Match my sticker and type the words as well. Do not ask for a number to be copied off a faded door if you can type it.

Leave the manufacturer’s plates and any thorough examination date visible. The date comes from the competent person’s report. Your name does not change that date.

Size and proof

Measure the flat panel. Say the width. You approve a proof before we print. Check the spelling against your invoice heading, not against an old sticker that already had a mistake. Custom panels are quoted. They are not same-day catalogue stickers. In-stock catalogue stickers, where the words are already made, can dispatch the same day.

If several depots share a name but not a phone number, send a list. Do not assume we will copy the number from the last job. Leave a margin around the words so the panel can be aligned by eye. Covering a vent or a door seal with the edge of a panel is how it peels. If the only space is small, reduce the words, not the readability. A phone number that cannot be read from a few metres away It does not help the site. Leave a margin so the panel can be lined up by eye, and do not cover a vent or a door seal with the edge. A panel that bridges a seal will lift the first time the door is used.
