Rating plate and capacity mark replacement

A rating-plate sticker is a print of the information you supply. It does not inspect the machine and it does not set a load figure.

Titan does not carry out thorough examinations. A label shows the dates and wording you supply. It does not replace the written report.

Keep the jobs apart

The thorough examination date is the date from the competent person’s report. HSE requires that written report, including the examination date and the next due date. A replacement plate is a different job: you send the words and figures that should appear, and we print them. We do not weigh the truck, read a worn plate for you, or decide a safe load.

Do not cover controls or an existing manufacturer’s plate unless you mean to replace that plate and you have the information to do it. If the old plate is unreadable, get the figures from the manufacturer’s information or from your own records before you order. Guessing a number because the photo is blurred is how a wrong figure gets onto a machine.

Date labels stay separate

If the machine is lifting equipment, the thorough examination date still comes from the competent person’s written report. HSE says that report includes the examination date and the next due date. Order that as a date label from the LOLER range. Do not hide it behind a new plate. Do not ask us to “update the SWL” from a blurred photo. We print the characters you type. If a figure is missing, we will ask. We will not complete it from a similar truck.

Ordering

Send a straight-on photo, the size, and the text in a typed note. Catalogue products that are in stock can dispatch the same day. A one-off plate is quoted. Date labels, if you need those as well, are on the LOLER inspection stickers page.
